Seth Bassinger

About Seth

Seth Basinger has managed land around Hale County for over 10 years. He received a bachelor’s degree in biosystems engineering from Auburn University and a masters degree in wildlife science from the University of Tennessee. He resides in Demopolis with his wife and two daughters.

Mary Quitman Holmes

About Mary

Mary Quitman Holmes is a native of Greensboro. She is a graduate of Southern Academy and the University of Alabama. She is the Vice‐Chairman of Peoples Bank of Greensboro and President of Lawson Catfish Farm. She is a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church where she serves as trustee. Holmes is also on the board of Southern Academy, Big Brothers and Big Sisters of West Alabama, and the University of Alabama Honors College.

Russell Weeden

About Russell

Russell was born and rasied in Greensboro and is a 1988 graduate of Southern Academy. He began his EMS career in 1989. He received his basic EMT in Greensboro and started work with Hale County EMS. In 1992, he attended George C. Wallace in Selma and recieved his degree as a LPN. During the same time he completed Fire fighter 1 rookie training and a variety of Haz-Mat courses becoming a Haz-Mat Technician. He started his nursing career at Hale County Hospital and continued his career at Northport ICU for 2.5 years. In 199, he recieved his paramedic liscense from the University of Alabama and went to work with Hale County EMS full time. He worked as a supervisor for 5 years and the operations and the operations manager for 7. He was appointed as the Hale County EMA Director in 2003. He has taken many law enforcement course including the Basic Swat Course and recieved his Tactical Medic License from Anniston Police Academy. Russell was voted Hale County Fire Association President in 2014. As the Fire Association President, he serves on the E911 Board of Directors. He also serves as a board member of the Hale County Hospital.

John W. Ryan, Jr.

About John

John W. Ryan, Jr., is a lawyer with the law firm of Seale, Holmes & Ryan, LCC, in Greensboro, Alabama. His practice is general in nature with him representing clients in a wide array of legal matters. He is currently the Attorney for the Hale County Commission. He graduated from the University of Alabama in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in Finance, and he obtained his Juris Doctorate from the University of Alabama School of Law in 2004. In addition to serving on the Board of Directors for the Hale County Community Foundation, he also serves as a Board of Director for the Oakwood Cemetery Association and is a member of the Greensboro, and he is a lifelong resident of Hale County, Alabama.

Michael Hamilton

About Michael

Michael Hamilton, a Greensboro, Alabama native whose journey from the halls of Greeensboro Public School East Campus – where he graduated in 1987 – to the helm of law enforcement is nothing short of inspiring. As the youngest son of the late Rev. Joe L. Hamilton, Sr., and Sallie Hamilton, he was raised on the values of dedication and service. Michael landed his law enforcement career on December 14, 1998, and through sheer determination and passion for community safety, he climbed the ranks from police officer to Chief of Police, all while balancing the demands of member of the Federal Alchohol Tobacco Forearms and Explosives(ATF) Task Force. His accolades are many, but it’s his unyielding commitment to protecting ans serving the citizens of Hale County Sheriff, vowing to keep his community safe while also staying grounded in his faith as a devoted member of St. Mary Church. With a blend of expierence, heart, and an everwatchful eye, Sheriff Hamilton is commited to transforming public servicce into a collaborative effort – a mission driven by a simple belief: a safer community is a happier community. He’s a devoted husband to LaNeshia Hamilton and a proud father of three boys: JaMicah, Cameron, and Carson.

Wallace Drury

About Wallace

My name is Wallace Drury and I was born and raised in Greensboro, AL where I currently reside on our family farm with my wife & three daughters. I played baseball for Shelton State Community College and then transferred to Auburn University’s Agriculture program where I earned a degree in Horticulture. I worked for Alfa Insurance and the Alabama Farmers Federation for 6 years before coming back to work on our family farm, Drury Catfish & Cattle Farms. 

Kimberly Davis

About Kimberly

Kimberly W. Davis serves as Secretary-Treasurer for the Foundation. A proud Hale County native, Kim graduated from Greensboro High School in 1994 and earned a B.S. in Accounting
from the University of Alabama in 1998. After college, she returned to Greensboro and worked in accounting before joining Seale, Holmes & Ryan, LLC in 2001, where she currently serves as a paralegal and office manager. Deeply involved in the Greensboro Community. Kim and her husband, Travis are active members of First Methodist Church of Greensboro where she has held various leadership roles
and now chairs the Finance Committee. A graduate of the 2012 Leadership Hale County program, Kim also serves on the Board of Directors for Magnolia Grove Foundation and as Treasurer of the Greensboro Area Business and Tourism Board. She is also a past board member
of Lakeview Country Club where she served in various positions.
